The body.
Its different representations through the eyes and sensibilities of a female photographer.
Intimacy perceived by a posture, a look, as well as by the way of approaching and touching the other.
A game that is established between the models and into the relationship of the photographer to the model.
The need to observe, the desire to enter the intimacy of the other, the indiscreet look.
For the “Palm” serie, Roxane Schneider starts from an unknown environment moving to rebuilding a new one. On one side, the settings that she is familiar with and lives in. On the other, the milieus she had discovered during her journeys around the african continent. Through her works, she creates links, she grasps the specificity of different environments and gradually manages to immerse herself into them.
Roxane Schneider is a photographer based in Geneva, Switzerland. She graduated from Haute Ecole d'Art et Design (HEAD-Genève) in Visual Communication to then complete in 2013 a Master's degree in Art Direction Photography at École Cantonale d'Art Lausanne (ECAL).
